We can provide a variety of services related to test borings and soil sampling through our relationships with other professionals and outside service companies.  Pre-construction and design test borings can be accomplished using a 6" hollow-stem auger with a split spoon sampler.  The sampler will retain an 18" section of the soil profile, and samples can be taken at intervals prescribed by the client.  Boring logs will contain information such as soil texture, soil color, degree of moisture in soil, depth to water table, soil constituents, changes in soil type within the tested profile, and drilling conditions.  Collar elevations can be provided if necessary.

KAYLER GEOSCIENCE can also provide heavy machinery for digging test pits if that method of testing is preferrable.  Test pit walls are logged throughout the depth of the soil profile, and boring logs are provided.

LAND PLANNING
Land Planning is an essential element in the construction of resource management and development projects.  It is critical to the proper maintenance and preservation of natural resources of limited availability.  There are both reversible and irreversible land uses, and their implementation will dictate the future availability of land as a natural resource at any given point in time.

Land Management is the science that has developed in response to the need for control of land use and preservation.  Land Management programs attempt to organize, plan, and manage land-use activities.  Well-developed programs are concerned with land and water, and address the isses of water-use rights, subsurface rights, surface rights, and above-surface rights.  Land management and planning activities can take place at local, state, and federal levels.

KAYLER GEOSCIENCE can assist you in developing a plan that will provide for the most efficient use of land and resources as your project progresses.
LAND RECORDS
The availability of data pertaining to land ownership, easements, mineral and water rights, rights of use, mining claims and patents, zoning, and a variety of other land-use considerations is vital to the success of any project. Proper project planning depends upon knowledge of project limitations and possibilities;  these can be found in land records.

If your project requires land records information, KAYLER GEOSCIENCE can assist you.  Our professionals have the required expertise to conduct searches in municipal offices, County Clerk offices, state and Federal offices, and a variety of other archival locales. We have completed searches related to mining claims, land ownership, easements, zoning, mineral rights, and other land-use issues.  If you require a title search, we can refer you to licensed professionals specializing in that field.

MAPPING
KAYLER GEOSCIENCE offers a wide variety of mapping services.  Our professionals have developed maps for the mining industry, municipalities, private contractors and homeowners, schools, estates, churches, parks and recreation sites, county government, and a variety of other clients.  We can develop maps at a very simplistic level, or highly detailed maps showing features such as utilities, site improvements and structures, contours, rock outcrops, stockpiles, roads and walkways, vegetation and trees, wetlands, and soil types.

Our mapping tools can range from simple compass-and-pace to sophisticated survey equipment such as total stations and GPS.  Each project is evaluated to determine the most cost-effective and efficient way of providing the required information at the required level of detail.
SLOPE STABILITY STUDIES
Slope stability can be an important issue in a wide array of project environments.  Whether your project is involved with basic home construction, road design, commercial and industrial sites, mine planning and development, or any other situation in which slope stability might be an issue, KAYLER GEOSCIENCE can assist.  Issues that we and other professionals to whom we may refer you can address include, among others:
